It's very early in 2011, but from all indications, it should be a BIG year for us around here.  We've had a school system order a Business in a Box (BinaB) already, and we've had media inquiries as well.  We'd like to personally thank Michelle Obama for bringing so much attention to the obesity problem in our kids today.  We at Healthy Girls focus on girls, but we certainly recognize that the issue is pervasive across gender, race and cultural lines.  We've been asked on many occassions if we'd entertain doing something with a Healthy Boys concept.  Well, never say never.  We've had many discussions about that very issue.  However, at this point, we're sticking with the girls.  It's not that there's no issue with boys, but the issues are very different.  Sure, there's a nutritional component to both, but oftentimes, the girls have an added emotional component to their eating - or lack thereof.  We're all about being positive and teaching them how to be positive with themselves.  Self talk is a critical piece to our emotional well-being.  Ah, but that's another blog post all together!  Just wanted to check in and say hi!  It's been awhile since I've popped over to this board.  I've been hanging out on Healthy Girl's blog board.  You should check that out too.  Pretty good stuff.  And please, add your comments.  Be loud and proud.  I get emails with questions and comments, but it's the ones that are shared that can help more people.

Thanks again for your support.  And Happy New Year!!
